Get stronger. Build fitness.

Do more of what you love.

Personalised strength and fitness coaching to help you train with confidence, make meaningful progress and become more physically capable.

Online coaching across the UK. In-person coaching in Cardiff.

There’s a lot more to good training than having a good programme.

A well-designed training programme is important. But knowing what to do is only part of making progress.

Good coaching means having someone who understands your goals, helps you navigate the challenges that arise and knows when to push, when to adjust and when to change direction.

My aim isn’t just to help you get stronger and fitter. It’s to help you become more knowledgeable, confident and capable along the way.

That’s what I aim to provide:

Why work with a coach?

Whether you train at home, in a gym or with me in person, the aim is the same: to help you become stronger, fitter and more capable through training that’s built around you.

In-Person Coaching

Personalised training sessions, practical guidance and ongoing support to help you build strength, improve fitness and develop confidence in your abilities.

Training for more than just the gym…

How about building a body that lets you say yes to more adventure?

Getting stronger and fitter is great, but what really matters is what that strength and fitness allows you to do.

Whether it’s running a marathon, keeping up with your kids, exploring the mountains or simply feeling more confident in your physical abilities, your training should support the things you enjoy doing.

That’s what being an Everyday Athlete means to me.

You don’t need to compete in sport or chase extraordinary achievements, you just need a body that’s capable of doing the things you want it to do.

Everyone comes to coaching with different goals, experiences and circumstances.

Here’s what some of the people I’ve worked with have to say about their experiences.

Real people making meaningful progress

Hi, I’m Tom…

Strength & Fitness Coach | Founder of EA Training

I’m Tom, a strength and fitness coach based in Cardiff, working with people across the UK through online coaching and face-to-face at Base Gym.

I’ve spent over a decade learning about training and helping people become stronger, fitter and more physically capable. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that there’s rarely a single perfect way to train.

I believe good coaching combines scientific understanding, practical experience and sound judgement, with an appreciation that everyone is different.

My aim is to help people develop the strength, fitness, knowledge and confidence to do more of what they love.

Whether you’re starting from scratch, working towards a specific challenge or simply want to make better use of your time in the gym, my job is to help you find an approach that works for you.

“Before becoming a coach, my background included competitive skiing, engineering and a few career changes, but strength and fitness training have been constants throughout my adult life.

These days, alongside coaching, I’m a husband, dad and enthusiastic participant in whatever physical challenges I can find time for!”

Ready to see what you’re capable of?

Whether you’re starting from scratch, looking to take your training further or working towards a particular goal, I’d love to hear what you’re hoping to achieve.
